When shopping for custom
paint, consult several local paint supply stores to see who they recommend.
Check with friends who've gotten custom paint done.
Once you find an artist,
find out what materials they work with. We only use the highest quality
PPG and House of Kolor products. Don't let a "mall" artist spray
t-shirt paint on your prized Harley!
Ask about the number
of years experience the artist has with automotive paints.
Ask to view some actual
finished works.
Get names and phone
numbers of some clients so you can ask their opinion of the work.
Was their work delivered
when promised?
Did their price change
after the work began? You should be very clear about what you're expecting.
Take a close look at
the striping on the graphics. Are they uniform in width? Are they clean,
without bleeding edges? these details are the real test to separate 'just
okay' work from excellent.
Attend some car or
bike shows to see first hand what the quality range is like between painters
and even ask the vehicle owners who they would recommend.
